God always speaks. If we cannot hear him, the problem does not revolve around Him, the problem lies in our perception. God wants to have a relationship with each one of us individually. We all know that a relationship without communication is impossible. God created us to have a relationship with Him, and God speaks to us since we are created with the capacity to hear His voice. We must know how to hear His voice. Do you?

神は常に語っています。もし彼の声が聞こえないのであれば、それは私たちの問題です。神は常に私たちとの関係を望んでいます。関係を築くのに必要なのがコミニケーションです。神は人間を作るときに、神との関係ができるように作りました。神は人間を創造した時から、神の声を聴き分けられるようになっているはずです。なっているでしょうか？

There are many ways that God speaks to us. God spoke to Moses through the burning bush. God spoke to people from the clouds when Jesus was baptized at the Jordan River. God spoke through Angels when Jesus was born. God spoke through the pillar of fire when Israelites were in the desert for 40 years. He even used a donkey to speak to Balaam.  God can speak to us through many ways, but the most popular way He speaks to us are: 

神はいろいろな方法で語りかけてくださいます。モーゼには燃える草の中から、キリストがヨルダン川で洗礼するときは雲の中から、キリストの誕生は天使ガブリエルを通して、イスラエルが荒野を４０年間彷徨ったときは火の柱を通して、バラムの時はロバを通して語りかけました。しかし一番ポピュラーな方法は、聖書を通して語られます。

God speaks through the Bible

2 Timothy 3:16 - “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” 

聖書はすべて、神の霊感によるもので、教えと戒めと共生とぎの訓練とのために有益です。

第二テモテ３章１６節　

God speaks through the Bible.  For God to use His Word is the most common way to reach us. The Bible is God’s inspired words.  In the Greek, the word “inspiration” is literally translated “God-breath”.  That means God’s words are totally reliable.  There is no other book in the world that is reliable as the Bible.  You can use the Bible for guidance, correction, and comfort. It is a training manual for the human race.  He always speaks to us through the Bible.  The real question is Do you have a time to listen to Him?  Do you remember the TV ads that stated that, “When EF Hutton speaks, everybody listens.”? When God speaks, are you listening?  God speaks to us everyday.  The question is, “Are you in the Word everyday?” How do I listen to God everyday?  Through our quiet time.  If you want to know God and hear His voice today, you need to set aside a time for just He and you.  The option is always available to you here in Japan. We enjoy a freedom from persecution unlike most other places in the world. So do you have any excuse not to spend quality time with Him? 

聖書を通して語られる神。神は聖書を通して語られることがもっとも一般的です。聖書は神の霊感を持った言葉です。ギリシャ語でインスピレーション(霊感)は神の息という意味です。神の言葉は信頼できる言葉です。この世の中で聖書よりも信頼できる書物はありません。上にあるように神の言葉は人生のガイドとなり、戒めとなり、また慰めとなります。人生の教本のようなものです。神は聖書を通して語られています。問題はあなたは神の声を聴くことができているか。アメリカのテレビの宣伝で、「ＥＦ　Ｈａｔｔｏｎが話すとみんな聞き耳を立てる」ということわざがあるくらい。ハットンさんが話すことをみんな注意して聞くほど、彼の言葉は影響力があるとうことです。神の言葉に、私たちは耳を傾けているか。神は毎日かたっておられます。聖書を開けば聞こえるのが神の声です。ではあなたは聖書を開いているでしょうか？神との時を持っていますか？といよりも神との時間を持つようにしなければ、日本にいる意味がありません。自由に聖書を持つ環境にある私たちは、どうしてその自由を行使しないのでしょうか？これはするべき自由です。

 2. God can speak to us through gifted teachers　

　　神は賜物を持つ教師から語られる。

   1 Corinthians 2:13 – “This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom  in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.”

この賜物について語るにも、わたしたちは人間の知恵が教える言葉を用いないで、御霊の教える言葉を用い、霊によって霊のことを解釈するのである

The more teaching you hear about God, the more understanding you receive.  Your faith will be strengthened by hearing the Word of God.  If God can use a donkey to speak, he can certainly use pastors and teachers.  There are so many excellent preachers and wonderful communicators.  There are so many radio and TV programs which offer Biblical teaching.  But if there is no one listening, what good are they?  Have you ever experienced the feeling when the preacher is speaking directly to you on that particular Sunday morning service?  Its as if He knows your hidden sins.  God speaks through pastors.  God speaks to you through ungifted speakers.  It only takes a gifted listener.  It is a more amazing fact that God speaks to other people through YOU.  You are the most influential person in your family if you are a Christian.  No doubt about that.  Your responsibility is to be keen to what God is speaking to you about.  Do you listen to more CNN or ESPN than God’s Words?  Do you feel guilty now?  Then you must change your life style.  If you do so, he will use you as God’s spokesman. The choice is yours; “The Late Night Show” with David Letterman or late night quiet time with God 

多くの教えを受けることで、神への理解力は深まってゆきます。信仰は唯一神の言葉を聞いて成長します。もし神がロバを使ってでも人間に語るなら、牧師や教師を使っても語られるでしょう。多くの素晴らしい牧師やコミニケーションの専門家がおられます。インターネットでは聖書のプログラムが多くあります。しかし誰も聞くものがいなければ、何のためのインターネットでありまた牧師や教師なんでしょうか。神はあまり魅力的でない牧師や教師を通してでも語り掛けることができます。必要なのは賜物を持つリスナーです。もっとすごいことは、神はあなたを通して神の真理を語ることです。

家族の間でも、会社の仲間にも、学校の友人にも、神はあなたを用いて語られます。

であれば私たちが普段見ているテレビと神の言葉とどちらに比重がかかっているでしょか？神のスポークスマンと選ばれている意識が普段ありますか？

3. God speaks through Impressions.神はインスピレーション(霊感)を通して語られる

  John 14:26 (NIV) – “But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my 

  name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” 

しかし、助け主、すなわち、父がわたしの名によってつかわされる聖霊は、あなたがたにすべてのことを教え、またわたしが話しておいたことを、ことごとく思い起させるであろう。

He puts ideas in our minds. When God puts an idea in your mind we call that inspiration. "I was inspired. I got a creative idea." Where do you think that creative idea came from? It came from the creator! God is the creator. When you are being creative you're being most like God. We're made in God's image. God's the Creator, human beings have the ability to be creative. When God puts an idea in your mind we call it an inspiration. When the devil puts an idea in your mind we call that a temptation. So God is trying to speak to you.

神はいろいろなアイデアを私たちに与えてくださいます。　この神からくるアイデアを霊感インスピレーションと言います。想像力は誰から与えられるのでしょか？この世をお造りになったすべての造り主キリストからくるのが想像力です。何かを作るということは、神の領域に近づいています。

神が私たちにアイデアを与えれば、私たちはそれを霊感と言いますが、時としてサタンも何かアイデアを私たちに与えてきます。それを聖書では誘惑と言います。神は人間を誘惑することはありません。ですから霊感を与えることはあっても、誘惑を用いて人間を試すことはありません。

The rationalist says that God does not speak to us through impressions. Others say God only speaks through impressions. It is called mystic. Both are two extremes. The Word of God is true not myth

合理主義者は神は人間に何の印象も与えることはしないといい、また極端な人は神は印象からのみ霊感を与えるといいます。神話と聖書のはなしは全く違うことです。聖書は事実で真理です。神話ではありません。

He speaks through the Bible and God also speaks through impressions or emotion: 

神は語られるのは印象や感情というものではなく、神の言葉(聖書)から語られます。

4. God speaks through pain. 神は痛みを通して語られる

  Proverbs 20:30 – “Blows and wounds cleanse away evil, and beatings purge the inmost being.”

Not all pain is considering God speaking to you. Not every little hurt, ache, and pain that you have is God. But some of it is. And God often has to use pain in order to slow us down to get our attention. Rick Warren had a friend who was an All Star Basketball player and he had back trouble and had a bunch of disks that went out. He asked him in the hospital, "Why do you think this happened?" He said, "God had to lay me flat on my back to get me to look up to Him." Has God ever had to do that to you?

痛みだけを通して神は語られるのでもありません。ただ神は少しの痛みでも用いることがありますが、その痛みを通して、私たちにちょっと待ったをかけているのです。リックワォレン牧師(アメリカでは有名な牧師)の友人でＮＢＡで活躍する選手がいました。その選手にあるとき背中に激痛が走り、あおむけに寝なければ、痛みに耐えられない状態になりました。そのとき病院に見前に行き言われたのが、どうしてこんなことが私に起こったのか？でした。リックは彼に「神はあおむけにしなければ見れないものを君に見せようとしたんじゃないか」と答えました。皆さんがあおむけになった時に見えるものは何ですか？

Pain gets your attention.  It is God’s hearing aid.  God shouts to us in pain.  What does pain do to us?  We stop whatever we are doing.  Pain make us hear God’s voice.  Unfortunately, without pain we won’t pay attention to God. What does pain do?  The more we depend on God’s guidance, the more successful we are. In our life, true success is knowing God’s will for our lives. God speaks to us through pain.

痛みは私たちに何かを気が付かせてくれます。痛みは神へのＳＮＳです。神は痛みを通して伝えようとしておられます。その痛みで私たちは何を知るのでしょうか。今しようとしていることへの障害が痛みによって引き起こされます。というよりも、痛みによって聞けるのは神の声です。残念ながら痛みがなければ、神に目(耳)がいっていないでしょう。痛みによって私たちはどうなりますか？もっと神に頼るようになります。神のガイダンスによって、私たちは成功するものとなります。成功者とは神の意志通りの生活を送ることです。神はそこで痛みを私たちの人生に送り、間違った方向へ行こうとする私たちの人生の方向修正を図ります。

Conclusion　結論

Some of you are in pain right now.  It's obvious that some of you are in pain today.  Some of you are depressed.  Some of you are filled with anxiety.  It may be over a health issue. It maybe over finances, your marriage, or your desire to get married, or you're in a relationship you're not sure of and you're anxious, fearful, worried.  Others of you are fatigued and you're worn out because you're trying to do too much. You just crawled in here this morning -- you're really tired. Many of you are stressed out by innumerable things. Some of you are lonely and that ache in your heart – that loneliness -- is sometimes almost unbearable. All of these things create pains. God is trying to get your attention. There needs to be some changes in your life and He'll help you make those changes. But you have to have a relationship with Him. Maybe you've let that relationship wane and wane and put Him on the back burner of your life. Or maybe you've never established that relationship with God. Today is the day to open your heart to your creator Jesus Christ. Give your pain to Him. God wants to be the manager of your life. Pain will go away when you give your life back to where it belongs God.  Shall we pray.

ここにいる方の中で痛みを覚えておられる方がいます。人生で難しい事柄に悩んであられます。また心配する事柄に人生をコントロールされています。たとえは健康問題、人間関係、学校の進路、経済的な問題、夫婦関係、またほかの方は、今まで頑張りすぎて疲れておられます。今日の朝もこの教会にはいつくばってきておられます。

本当に疲れている方です。これらの問題と一人で戦っているので孤独を感じておられます。どうしてこんなことが私たちの人生で起こるのか悩んでおられませんか。楠はどうして自分の心の中を知っているのだろうと今驚いておられますか？　神はもっとも小さなものを使って大きな働きをすると前章でいいました。

神が求めておられるのは、自分から目を離して、神を見つめる機会を持つように、今の痛みをあなたに与えていると考えられます。それまでなかった神との関係を持つように、神は今のあなたが止まるようにあなたに痛みを与えたのでしょうか。

人生を走ってきているあなたは止まって神を見ることが必要です。いそがしいのは罪です。それで神から目が離れています。日本人は皆忙しいと口で言いますが、本当にしなければならないのは、立ち止まって神に目を見向けることです。アルタとマリヤの例のごとしです。止まることができないので痛みが与えられます。今日がキリストに目を向ける時です。神は立ち止まり、人生で一番大切な方(イエスキリスト)を見つめるように示しておられます・疲れている人はキリストのもとに行くと癒されます。つかれた人は、私のもとに来なさいというみ言葉があるからです。そして私たちが立ち止まりイエスキリストを見上げることで、今の問題の解決方法が与えられます。自分の人生を自分でコントロールすることなく、神にゆだねることで与えられる解決方法です。試してみてください。キリストの鎮痛剤を、きっと今までにない平安が心の痛みをいやすでしょう。 

Appendix  Epistemology (認識学) 

認識論で扱われる問いには次のようなものがある。

人はどのようにして物事を正しく知ることができるのか。

人はどのようにして物事について誤った考え方を抱くのか。

ある考え方が正しいかどうかを確かめる方法があるか。

人間にとって不可知の領域はあるか。あるとしたら、どのような形で存在するのか。

無限で不可知とされる神を知るということは認識学の観点から、人間が知る得る知識の範囲を超えている。神を認知するのは人間には不可能で、神から知識として人間に理解させるという力が働いて初めて認識できる。クリスチャンがキリストを神と認識できるのは、人間の業ではなく、神からのイニシアティブがあったためにできたこと。ゆえにもしキリストを神として知ることができているのなら、それは神のほうから現してくださった事実を認識しているということ。
