A Hidden agenda of the Japanese Church disclosed by Pastor Hideki Kusunoki After the World War II, missionaries came to evangelize Japan with the gospel of Jesus Christ which supposed to save Japanese souls who lost the war and their dignity. Despite of their tireless work, The Christian population has declined to almost 240,000 over 124 millions. After 7 decades of evangelism, Christianity is considered as a dying religion. Evangelical Churches are disappearing from the map of Japan . One out of 12 churches has no pastor. An average Japanese church attendance is declined from 30 to 25 people.  As you look into the fact, Japanese church is slowly and surely dying despite of missionary’s effort during the post–war era. 本日の聖句　ルカの福音書５章１８節―２５節　 神は今も人に語ることがあるのか？ 神は今も人を癒すことができるのか？ 神は今も奇跡を起こすことをするのか？ 本日のメッセージは神の業が２１世紀でも見ることができるのかを検証して行きたいと思います。 ルカ５章１８節から２５節　 するとそこに、男たちが、中風をわずらっている人を、床のままで運んで来た。そして、何とかして家の中に運び込み、イエスの前に置こうとしていた。 5:19 しかし、大ぜい人がいて、どうにも病人を運び込む方法が見つからないので、屋上に上って屋根の瓦をはがし、そこから彼の寝床を、ちょうど人々の真中のイエスの前に、つり降ろした。 5:20 彼らの信仰を見て、イエスは「友よ。あなたの罪は赦されました。」と言われた。 5:21 ところが、律法学者、パリサイ人たちは、理屈を言い始めた。「神をけがすことを言うこの人は、いったい何者だ。神のほかに、だれが罪を赦すことができよう。」 5:22 その理屈を見抜いておられたイエスは、彼らに言われた。「なぜ、心の中でそんな理屈を言っているのか。 5:23 『あなたの罪は赦された。』と言うのと、『起きて歩け。』と言うのと、どちらがやさしいか。 5:24 人の子が地上で罪を赦す権威を持っていることを、あなたがたに悟らせるために。」と言って、中風の人に、「あなたに命じる。起きなさい。寝床をたたんで、家に帰りなさい。」と言われた。 5:25 すると彼は、たちどころに人々の前で立ち上がり、寝ていた床をたたんで、神をあがめながら自分の家に帰った。 ここで中風という病名に日本語ではなっていますが、英語では paraplegic 半身不随の人のことです。どうして中風という訳にしたのかは疑問ですが、日本の聖書学者は大げさな表現を避けたのでしょう。原語のギリシャ語でも「体にマヒのある人」の意味があります。 イエスの噂を聞いて、遠い町よりこの人は担架で運ばれてきました。しかしイエスの集会をしているペテロ家には大勢の人で入れません。そこでこの友人４人は大胆な行動に出ました。屋根に上り、家の瓦をはぎ、この病人をイエスの前に担架のまま釣り下ろすという策に出ました。この４人の信仰にはあっぱれバッチを進呈したいです。（ＴＢＳ　サンデーモーニング張本氏のファンです） ...

I was born in Tokyo, a son of Noboru Kusunoki. Through my childhood, my father insisted that the Kusunoki clan was one of the most important Samurai blood lines for the Emperor of Japan.  I did some research.  The online encyclopedia Wikipedia had this to say: “ Kusunoki Masashige   (1294-1336) was a 14th century samurai who fought for Emperor Go-Daigo in his attempt to wrest rulership of Japan away from the Kamakura shogunate . A brilliant tactician and strategist, Kusunoki's cunning defense of two key loyalist fortresses at Akasaka and Chihaya helped allow Go-Daigo to briefly return to power. However, one of the loyalist generals, Ashikaga Takauji, betrayed Go-Daigo and led an army against Kusunoki and the remaining loyalists. Kusunoki suggested to the Emperor that they take refuge on sacred Mount Hiei and allow Takauji to take Kyoto, only to swoop down from the mountain, and with the help of the monks of Mount Hiei, trap Takauji in the city and destroy him.
